Searching my archive during this current Greater Sydney Covid19 lockdown I came across some photos to share with you....

My digitised archive is rather large, although I look forward to the day I finally digitise all my remaining literature and photos....

Sydney where I live is in another Covid19 lockdown & the time to spend all day on a computer searching and digitising images....

So searching it I came across some photos taken by a photographer called Alec Fisher and who ran a motorcycle newspaper in Australia.

Let's have a look at them.... come peruse with me....

1929 Velo KDT 415cc OHC... in NSW. No label with pic but suggest it was ridden in mid 1930's by Billy Woodman who had engine no. KDT151 which was invoiced to the NSW  Velocette importer P & R Williams on 30.09.1929.

The Easter motorcycle TT or GP races in Bathurst transferred from the Old Vale circuit to the new almost 4 mile circuit at Mt.Panorama Bathurst in 1938, with this first year having the road surface only dirt. This photo is the 1938 Bathurst Junior TT, Mt.Panorama, Quarry Bends soon after the race start which is on the climb to the mount with #25 Dave Jenkins 348cc OHC Velocette mk.7 KTT, #37 Tommy Jemison, 250 OHV Velocette leading and... #31 C. Hodgekiss 348cc OHC Norton...

1940 Bathurst, likely W.Hickey, 1000 Harley, Murrays corner, end of the con-rod straight. Mt Panorama, Bathurst.

1948 Bathurst, Australian  Junior TT, Quarry bends, rider Harry Hinton who won the Junior TT. Interestingly in small print at the bottom of the photo somebody in the past has written that it is Harry Hinton in the 1948 Lwt Australian TT, but Hinton is not listed in the 250 TT in the 1948 program...

Bathurst, Mt.Panorama, Murrays cnr., crash, Norton. No other information, but the road is tarred so 1939 or later & it is at the end of Con-rod straight....

Don Bain 1st Senior TT, Old Vale Circuit,Bathurst 1937,Velocette 495cc OHC... ex works Velocette racer, engine number KTT624, nicknamed "The Monster"... currently on display in the National Motor Racing Museum, Mt.Panorama, Bathurst.

Don Bain, 2nd in the 1940 N.S.W Senior TT, Bathurst on a 495cc Velocette... "The Monster".

Cec Weatherby, 1938 Junior TT, Velocette mk.7 KTT, Bathurst Mt Panorama circuit,

Speedway riders arrive by air, Oct.1947, London UK
